To our readers,
July 22, 2014
Since 1999, we have had the pleasure of George Lipper’s weekly newsletter, his collection of stories on innovation, capital and entrepreneurs, and his observations on the trends that affect our world. George died on Saturday. He worked every day of the week, including his last day. His method was to rise at 3:00 a.m. and read 80 online publications to find the news items he thought worthy to share with you. He was a wonderful friend and colleague. He will be greatly missed.
We invite you to share stories of your times with George, his jokes, his values, what he brought to your life. You may read others' stories about George and post your own on
the front page.
George would say to you, thank you for being a reader. But more so, thank you for playing your part in our entrepreneurial economy, solving problems and meeting the needs of our world. He would applaud your good work. Let us now applaud his.
Kind regards,
Robert Heard
